During the Cill Rialaig residency, I reconnected with my creative practice by exploring embroidery as an alternative medium to ceramics. I confidently translated ideas into embroidery pieces inspired by the landscape, developing skills in mark-making, colour, and composition. The time and space allowed for playful experimentation and immediacy in my process. I also explored incorporating natural materials such as seaweed and rocks into my work, expanding both my practice and conceptual approach.
